Our company was founded in 1957 with the dealership at 1710 West Cumberland by Kenneth P. Rice. The dealership was moved to the Kingston Pike location in 1971. In 1985 the Chrysler-Dodge franchise was purchased on the Airport Motor Mile. The GMC franchise was added at the Kingston Pike location in 1987. In August 1989, the Mitsubishi franchise was acquired and the new facility was completed in January 1990.

Mr. Rice's sons-in-law, Don Campbell and Curtis Wright now own Rice Automotive. As the co-owners of Rice Automotive, we are dedicated to continuing the tradition of being a family business, dedicated to the principles of integrity, professionalism, and value. We have earned the right to use the motto "Straight Talk" because of the reputation we have earned in both sales and service by treating our customers in a professional manner, and providing them with quality service at competitive prices.
